How much Does a tailored suit cost?

A tailored suit can range from $649 to upwards of $3900. It is always wise to check exactly where your tailors are from and what reputation they hold before you invest a large sum of money with any suiting business. It’s generally true that when it comes to suits, you get what you pay for, however, many shops (retail brands) often mark up suits with high margins.

Can tailored suits be altered?

Yes, you can let loose and take in a tailored suit within the reasonable size range. Usually within 12kg of weight gain or drop.

How long will it take for a suit to be tailored?

The customer can expect the suit order to arrive on average between 3 to 4 weeks, optional express order can be done with extra cost. Going with the custom fitting process would take an additional 2 to 3 weeks.

where do you source your materials and where are the suits made?

We work exclusively with Hong Kong’s top tailors. Offering high-end Italian and UK fabric brands. We also source genuine Australian wool exported to Asia and milled in high-tech facilities. Even our standard-priced suit fabrics are mixed with wool fibers, this ensures that your purchase becomes a worthy investment for many years to come.

If the client is not 100% satisfied with the end product, what are the possible warranties/guarantees of service?

Clients can expect the perfect fit, if there is need of adjustment, we will make alterations in house or with a trusted provider for free, or at a discount.

What's the difference between tailored suits besides the fit?

Virtually all off-the peg suits are identical in production and uses poly blend materials, aside from specific high-end brands that are $499 or up. This means that traditional retailed suits at the price category of $299 or lower are fused/glued with poor fabric quality. Unfortunately, they are not made to last. Most Made-to-Measure suits use generic sizing and makes further modification for client’s fit. This does NOT produce the same fit compared to a hand drafted, bespoke suit cut by a master tailor.

Alteration Policies

More than 85% of our clients will not need alterations. For those few occasions when adjustments are needed, we work with the local tailors and pay for the cost (up to $25, with any additional costs at half-price to you).

For example, if you require hemming, or taking in the waist of the trouser, it will be Free, as minor alterations are covered by the under $25 policy.

If you need to take in the coat, and hip section of the trouser, it will be close to $37 as these two major adjustments can cost up to $70 – $80.

Please note that the dramatic weight loss or gains of clients between meeting with us will affect the alteration costs. In the case of more than 5 KGs in weight loss or gains, the change in measurement is due to customers fluctuation and we, therefore, do not cover additional changes as a result.

Free Replacement Policy

In the very rare case of a tailoring error on our part where the finished item sizes differ significantly from the original measurements requested by yourself, or if there is a material defect, or the color is not as specified, we will provide a replacement for free. Or offer a reasonable alternative.

a) To be eligible for replacement, we must be informed about the defect/fault within 7 days of you receiving an order.
b) We will only accept returned products for replacement that are in good and unworn condition.
c) The garment will be checked for discrepancies between the measurements submitted and the actual measurements on the finished product by our quality control team.
d) SuitsWell has the right to deny the replacement for a product that is believed to be free of any gross discrepancies.

Return/Refund Policies

A refund request can be made any time before we start the tailoring process.

Please note, as all our suits/shirts are handmade, measures may have a certain tolerance (1/4″ for cuffs/collars, 1/2″ for all other measurements). This should not be considered as a refund motivation since it can be solved using the “Alterations Cost” in adjustments we offer for all our garments.

a) To be considered eligible for a refund, all items must be received by us within 14 days since the client has received the order.
b) We will only accept returned items that are in good and unworn condition. We reserve the right to deny the issuance of a refund to an order that is believed to be previously worn or damaged.
c) All returns will apply a 25% restocking fee, as bespoke garments are a complete write-off and almost impossible to be sold again.
d) Shipping charges are nonrefundable.

Please note: All tailored products are custom made, the buyer should understand the risk of potential delays before purchasing.

Maintenance and Service

Our garments are made to last, sometimes things can go wrong and we are happy to cover any normal mishaps for up to 6 months from the moment client takes the garment home. This includes loss or damaged buttons, minor thread loosening, or rips that occurred due to stitching error (due to the nature of items being made to order, please allow us up to 3 weeks to replace necessary parts of garment). We do not cover any damaged garments from excess/extreme or irresponsible use.

Payment Policies

Payment is to be made in one transaction. If you do split the payments, we will only accept a minimum of 70% of the total product cost for the first transaction, then the rest on a fitting day (finalizing payments upon receiving the product under satisfactory conditions).

Your payment may take up to 3 business days to clear.  In this case, we will not be able to start working on your order until payment has cleared.

Before placing an order, please ensure your bank account is active and you are able to make payments from it. In case of any problem, please let us know within 3 business days.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Nothing is more important to us than maintaining the security and confidentiality of our customers’ personal information. If you place an order with us you will be asked to provide certain information such as your name, contact details, and physical measurements, so that:

1- We can process your order.
2- Notify you of your order status and
3- Inform you of any special offers and promotions.

We disclose your measurements, but not your ID to our tailors to help us fulfill your order. We will not provide any of your information to third parties for marketing purposes. We only use private payments, therefore all the transactions are completely secured and nobody including ourselves can see or store any financial information.
